Unlocking the Future of Finance: Minneapolis CFO Round Table on Agentic AI
Moderated by Kurt Srivastava, General Manager of Fintech Consulting at Hyperbots Inc., and Brian Kalish, Principal & Founder of Kalish Consulting, the discussion brought out interesting insights.

Agentic AI in Finance: Redefining What AI Can Do
The conversation opened with a deep dive into what Agentic AI really means for finance teams. It is not just automation—these are intelligent systems that can learn, make decisions, and take action on their own.
Attendees were particularly interested in how Agentic AI is already improving finance processes like invoice processing, expense management, and financial reporting. But the bigger message here is that AI isn’t here to replace humans; it’s here to help them focus on more strategic and valuable work.
Trust, Security, and the Human Side of Agentic AI
A common theme throughout the discussion was trust in technology, data security, its implementation, and the consequences of financial jobs after the integration of AI.
The general feeling was optimistic. Just like Excel didn’t eliminate finance roles but changed them, AI will push professionals to upskill and do more impactful work. Attendees concluded that if we learn how to use the tool, we can become even more valuable. The key is to leverage platforms with self learning capabilities and robust security.
Deploying Agentic AI in Finance: The Urgency of Adoption
The speed at which AI is advancing has made it clear that companies that delay adoption risk falling behind. Today’s forward-looking CFOs are running pilot programs, hiring for AI experience, and measuring results.
As our moderator Brian Kalish aptly said, “Agentic AI isn’t going to replace people. People who use Agentic AI will replace those who don’t.”
Real-world stories shared during the session showed how companies are already seeing results, from faster Accounts Payable cycles to smarter forecasting, increasing the value of Agentic AI in today’s finance processes.
A Collaborative Vision for the Future
